The fetal position is damn hard.

I never until now realized how very much I hate drawing feet.

Floating.
The rush of air through water, bursting, and small rustling sounds in the darkness. Eyes opened. He stared through the rippling waters and towards the distorted white shapes moving around him.
Fingers flexed- twitched.
A muted alarm sounded as he became aware of his lungs.
Breathe in.
The light outside his small nearly silent world became a bloody red. His eyes closed as he listened to the faint sounds from without, and the somewhat sharper sounds or air bubbles rupturing within.
